A site inspection was carried out to assess the condition of the existing troughing. Observations noted areas of wear and degradation that could impact the stability of the new cable containment installation.

5. Shift Comments

During the shift, the team was engaged in the cable containment installation (C19) at location CH1/235 under HV works. The planned scope was to complete 60 metres of installation. However, progress was halted after 30 metres due to the discovery of an unexpected live cable within the excavation area. For safety reasons, work was immediately stopped to prevent any hazards. The variance falls under 'Unexpected Physical Conditions.' Further assessment is required before resuming activities to ensure safe continuation of works.
